Fórmula química: C18H35OH. Octadecenol. Alcohol orgánico insaturado de 18 átomos de carbono, derivado del ácido oleico. Líquido viscoso, soluble en alcohol y éter e insoluble en agua. Se emplea en la fabricación de tensoactivos, polímeros y plastificantes, y como agente antiespumante.
