Fruto del Guindillo de Indias Planta de la familia solanáceas (Capsicum baccatum). Es originario de América y se cultiva en los jardines. Es una mata de unos 50 cm de altura, de hojas lanceoladas, flores blancas y fruto globoso, encarnado, del tamaño de una guinda y muy picante. Sinónimo: pimiento de Indias.
