Jay Jay Johnson
Jay Jay Johnson (1924-2001) Trombonista estadounidense de jazz. A partir de 1941 actuó con Clarence Love, Snookum Rusell, Benny Carter, Count Basie, Illinois Jacquet, Woody Herman, Dizzy Gillespie y Oscar Pettiford. Formó con Kay Winding el Jay and Kay Quintet, que dio varios recitales por Europa. Realizó registros con Sonny Stitt, Miles Davis, Stan Gotz, Kay Winding, etc. Fue el primer trombonista que adaptó su instrumento al estilo bebop.
