Marvin Harris (1927-2001) Antropólogo estadounidense. Profesó el determinismo en todo lo concerniente a lo social, relacionando producción, reproducción y ecología. Hizo del materialismo cultural uno de los modelos teóricos más interesantes de la antropología contemporánea.
